The Mercurio Group and CAT Italy, a 100% subsidiary of the CAT Group, signed a Joint Venture Agreement on 21 October 2005 to establish a new jointly owned and licensed transport and logistics company to be known as MERCAT S.R.L. in the Italian market.
The initial aim of the company is to act as a sub-contractor for transport services to both Mercurio and CAT Italy for certain identified finished vehicle and high & heavy flows that can be better optimised.

The new company will also be active in identifying and responding to new market opportunities.
