Faced with a very competitive market CAT Group and General Motors Europe succeed in finding new synergies to strengthen their collaboration.

With the added-value of its capacities, its reliability and the perfect complementarity of its current distribution routes with those of its customer, CAT Group won a new three years contract with General Motors Europe.

From now on, the CAT Group will transport, through its Polish subsidiary, CAT Polska, 100% of the Zafira coming from the GM

factory at Gliwice in Poland to the German logistics centre in Etzin, that is to say some 2.000 cars. Besides, CAT Group will also move 10.000 vehicles (Astra, Agila and Zafira) produced on the Polish site to the logistics platform at Forbach in France. This new contract is in addition to a first collaboration agreed in 2004 concerning upstream transport between France and Zeebruge.

Logistics schemes design, implementation and optimization are now great specialities of the CAT Group which provides services to the major car manufacturers.
